Do induction hobs need a special power point?
Yes, this is worth checking before you buy. Induction hobs draw more power than a typical small appliance, so different models need different supplies, from a standard 13Amp power point up to 15Amp, 20Amp or higher for the more powerful hobs. The stronger models usually need a dedicated electrical point, which should be installed by a qualified electrician.
Is induction better than gas?
